It’s hard to believe that the Croydon cat killer is still at large. We have reported on the horrific actions of this individual many times and it appears the killer may have attacked again. The latest news is that decapitated cats have been found in Reigate and Oxted. These attacks have been linked to the Croydon cat killer but not confirmed at this time.
The two cats that were fatally attacked in May bring the total number of killed cats to more than 200. The first beloved pet was found in Reigate on May 5 and the second in Oxted on May 17. South Northwood Animal Rescue and Liberty (SNARL) are investigating the deaths that are happening in the UK. The group believes that the latest attacks are related to the Croydon Cat Killer. They have shared the information on their Facebook page . The posts use the name UK Animal Killer and lists some of the areas where attacks have taken place since October 2015, which include:
- Isle of Wight
- St Albans
- Brackley in Northamptonshire
If you find a mutilated animal (included foxes and rabbits) in the UK please call 07961 030064 or 07957 830490 immediately. South Norwood Animal and Liberty are working together with the police and the RSPCA in the hunt for the person or persons that are responsible for the deaths and mutilations. The post also advices cat owners to keep cats inside at night time and only let them outside when they can be supervised. Most of the attacks have taken place during the night, but some have also happened during the day. It’s important to be vigilant.
