Twelve winners of the International Cat Care Kittenhood photography competition have been announced. We don’t envy iCatCare for having to go through all the entries and make their selections, such gorgeous kittens! All the winners are to be featured in the iCatCare 2019 charity calendar.
Kittens were the subject of this year’s competition. Eve Davies, iCatCare Digital Communications Officer who organised the competition said: ‘With the theme of ‘Kittenhood’, we were looking for images of gorgeous new-born’s and curious kittens – whether they were snoozing, playing or just looking irresistibly cute – and we were not disappointed! The response we received was fantastic, with nearly 3,000 images sent in from photographers in over 60 countries. We then had the incredibly tough task of choosing just twelve winning images to feature in the 2019 charity calendar.’
The 12 winners are from all over the world, from the UK to Hong Kong:
- Sabine Schmidt
- Delila Maslo
- Rachel Philip
- John Foreman
- Catan Ngan
- Claire Mowforth
- Rachel Hunter
- Vivian Harding
- Lindsey Chadwick
- Sara Grant
The annual competition always results in many stunning entries. As there were an abundance of entries this year, a 13th winner was chosen by public vote and the winner was Francesca Barbero from Italy.
There was an overall winner, Lindsey Chadwick, for her beautiful photo of Mocha and Cappuccino. Lindsey will take home £500 in prize money and her image will be the front cover of the 2019 iCatCare calendar. The calendar is currently available for pre-order for just £5.00, click here to secure yours.
