ProtectaPuss, which has been installing cat containment systems across the country since July 2012, is now phasing in a new brand identity: ‘ProtectaPet’. The UKs leading cat containment business, which launched an online shop selling DIY ‘ProtectaKits’ in May of last year, is currently developing a modular enclosure which will be suitable for the containment of other pets such as dogs and chickens, as well as cats. The new line of British designed and manufactured enclosure products are set to be launched at the end of summer with a new ProtectaPet website launch scheduled for the autumn.
Eve Davies, Communications Director of ProtectaPet Ltd, said: “We started ProtectaPuss just a couple of years ago when we lost our cat, Lola, in a RTA outside our house. We were heartbroken and we developed fencetop brackets to ensure the safety of our remaining cat, Leo, Lola’s brother. We soon realised how responsible cat owners are in desperate need for a way to secure their beloved pets’ safety while not compromising their quality of life.”
Simon Davies, Operations Director of ProtectaPet Ltd and Head of Product Design explains: “Since the start of ProtectaPuss, we have been approached by owners of all sorts of animals from rabbits through to tortoises, looking for a solution to their own needs. I relish a design opportunity, especially when our pets’ safety is at stake and so I quickly got to work prototyping different concepts. Our enclosure systems are registered with the Intellectual Property Office and we have a patent pending. ProtectaPet seems like a logical step in the progression of our business.”
As the readers’ of our blog will already know, ProtectaPet is looking to expand on an international scale. MachoCat, the exclusive distributor of ProtectaPet products in Belgium and Luxembourg, has launched its marketing campaign ‘The only solution for the domestic tiger who wants a taste of nature.’ ProtectaPet is already distributing its cat containment products on directly from its website and through Amazon and eBay stores.
Watch this space for the new ProtectaPet product range, set to be launched on this website later this year.
