Apply for the ProtectaPet Scholarship to complete the CFH Course

Applications are officially open for four ProtectaPet Scholarships to become a Cat Friendly Homing Centre Programme with iCatCare.

The scholarships, worth £500 each, will support the four successful candidates to complete the course and be certified by iCatCare in Cat Friendly Homing (CFH).

For CFH Alumni, cats in their care reap the benefits of a true insight into how to think like cats. They are part of an international community, with a personal coach who will stay in touch for perpetuity.

The first two scholarships are for the cohort starts in February 2022 and the second scholarship is for the cohort that starts in September 2022. The successful applicant will be required to commit to five hours a week of remote learning for 20 weeks.

International Cat Care developed the programme within Cat Friendly Solutions for unowned cats which looks at solutions for unowned pet cats. These are cats that are usually kept confined in a homing centre, in a pen or in a foster home with people who will care for them, prior to finding them a home.

“Becoming a Cat Friendly Homing Centre Programme is built upon International Cat Care's Cat Friendly Homing Principles and is offered to those who are working, volunteering or managing a cat welfare organisation, that homes pet cats and have completed the Bringing Cat Friendly Solutions for Unowned Cats to Life course. This learning programme is based on a supportive coaching model that encourages you to celebrate what you do well and to focus on what you want to improve by setting and working towards your own goals. “

The application process for the February cohort will open at the end of November and the deadline will be at the end of December. To apply, head to the iCatCare website.
