Would you prefer the peace of mind of professional installation? Typical cost for the average sized garden is £2,400 but prices start from as little as £1,000. We can usually book your installation between 2 to 6 weeks lead time with our Nationwide Engineers.
Let us work it out. Our friendly Garden Design Consultants will take a look at photos of your garden and help you to calculate what is required.
Our DIY Catios are standard in in size 2.41cm D x 2.41cm W x 2.36cm H. They can be purchased in multiples to make larger Catios. If you would a bespoke Catio, we can custom design, manufacture and install this for you through our Professional Installation Service. Bespoke Catio installations start at £2,000.
Our DIY Catio Gates can be located centrally on any of the four sides of your Catio. You can have a gate on each side if you require! Equally, if you wish to locate your Catio against a patio door, you don't necessarily need a gate leading to your garden from the Catio.
Yes! In fact, it is great for feline welfare if your cat has the freedom to access their Catio directly from the house. Generally speaking, if your Catio is three sided, it will have the same frame to support the roof but you won't mesh the side adjoining the house.
If you have a very determined cat who will linger by your feet when you entering and exiting the cat proof area, we'd recommend having an 'air-lock' gate. This involves separating two gates with a steel framed 'air-lock' or 'cat-lock' as we affectionally call it.
Yes, our Catios don't have to be fitted to Patio but we have modular fittings enabling you to secure the steel frame to whichever ground type there is. For softer ground such as soil or gravel, we recommend using groundspikes to secure the posts in place.
While Catios are not permanent structures, local planning regulations can vary and we advise that you contact your local authority for advice before installation. You will need to cite information about the dimensions of your proposed Catio and regulations between front and back gardens can also vary.
The main reason that cat owners choose a Catio over a Cat Proof Garden is to prevent neighbourhood 'bully' cats from entering the cat secure area. The mesh roof inhibits other cats from climbing in.
Our modular cat fencing designs connect to over fifty unique components so you can cat-proof any combination of garden features.
