ProtectaPet® Cat Enclosure Brace

ProtectaPet® Cat Enclosure Brace

From €120,00

Product Description

Designed to enhance structural stability, the ProtectaPet® Cat Enclosure Brace Kit provides a refined solution for reinforcing upright enclosure posts on both hard and soft landscaping. Seamlessly integrated with the ProtectaPet® Cat Enclosure system, it adds discreet strength where additional support is required. For optimal performance, we recommend fitting a brace to every third post (approximately every 9m), as well as at corners, gates, and other high-load areas.

Key features

  • Enhanced stability: reinforces upright posts for a more secure, resilient enclosure
  • Exceptional durability: galvanised and black powder-coated steel for long-term corrosion resistance
  • Effortless installation: clamp-on design allows straightforward height adjustment to suit varying ground levels
  • Premium fixings: supplied with stainless steel eyes, bolts, and nuts for lasting reliability
  • Multi-directional bracing: mounts to any side of the post for inline (180°) or corner (90°) reinforcement
  • Patented self-locking system: enables quick installation with minimal tools
  • Refined finish: slim, black powder-coated components for a discreet, considered appearance

Important installation notice
Before installation, ensure there are no underground utilities present and isolate all power supplies. Where there is any uncertainty, a professional utility scan should be carried out prior to installation. Please note that the patio version is not suitable for fixing to asphalt surfaces.

Measuring Guide
See Full Page

Use our guidance to work out what you need to correctly measure your garden for our cat proofing products.

Step One

Gather the necessary tools:
  • Tape measure
  • Pen and pencil
  • Paper or notebook
  • Smartphone

Step Two

Measure the height of existing boundaries

Use a tape measure to check the height of any existing boundaries such as fences or walls. On existing fences, measure to the top of the fence post. If there are raised flower beds or raised ground next to the boundary, measure from the highest ground level to the top of the wall or fence post.

Step Three

Measure the length of the boundary

Each existing boundary of different height will need measuring in length. For example, if your fence is a straight run but drops from 1.8m to 1.6m mid-way, please measure both lengths separately. Where there is existing standard fencing, you can usually work out the length of the boundary by counting the number of fence panels and multiplying it by the standard width of fence panels, which is 2 meters.

Step Four

Send your measurements to ProtectaPet

Once you have measured your garden and recorded the measurements, please send us your plan, along with photographs of your garden. Along with your full address, we can verify the garden measurements on Google Earth and advise you what you will need to secure your garden.

FAQs

Where the ground is unstable or you are fitting the enclosure in an exposed area, consider adding rigidity with braces. Cat Enclosure Braces can be fitted to every third post, on every corner and to gate frame posts to add rigidity and stability.

Ground spikes are used in all types of soft landscaping such as turf and soil. Ground spikes snuggly attach into 1.8m Cat Enclosure Posts and they are 66.5cm long. It is essential that you ensure there are no utilities underneath the area you wish to install the Cat Enclosure and isolate all power supplies before you start to dig.

You can securely attach Boltdown Plates to patio, paving slabs, stone, bricks and decking. Where you have tarmac, we'd recommend digging holes in the tarmac and using our ground spikes instead.

A single gate width is 80cm on the external frame and 74cm on the internal throughfare. If you require wheelchair or ride-on-mower access, we suggest you choose the double width gate which is 160cm external frame and 154cm on the internal throughfare.

We suggest maximum post intervals of 3 metres or 9 feet. You can choose to brace the cat enclosure every third post or 9 metres for added stability in soft or unstable ground.

ProtectaPet cannot offer planning advice because regulations vary by area. Generally speaking, cat fencing solutions are not permanent structures and are below 2m in height. Please keep in mind that planning regulations in front gardens and in conservation areas are more restrictive. We advise you to contact your local authority for advice specific to your circumstances.
