Product Description

Designed to keep cats safe while enjoying balcony spaces, the ProtectaPet® Tension Fit Cat Balcony offers an innovative, no-drill solution for apartment living. Using a precision tension-fit system, posts are secured firmly in place without penetrating masonry, making it ideal for rented properties. Suitable for balconies with ceiling heights of up to 2.7m, the system can be removed and relocated as needed.

Configuration guidance
Two- and three-sided balcony kits are designed for 90° corner installations. Where balcony angles differ, multiple one-sided kits can be combined and oriented to suit the required layout.

Installation notice
Installation requires precise measuring and cutting of metal posts and must be carried out by at least two people. For balconies above ground level, installation must be undertaken by a suitably qualified Working at Height engineer, who should review all safety guidance and complete an appropriate risk assessment prior to installation.

Measuring Guide

Use our guidance to work out what you need to correctly measure your garden for our cat proofing products.

Step One

Gather the necessary tools:

Tape measure
Pen and pencil
Paper or notebook
Smartphone

Step Two

Measure the height of existing boundaries

Use a tape measure to check the height of any existing boundaries such as fences or walls. On existing fences, measure to the top of the fence post. If there are raised flower beds or raised ground next to the boundary, measure from the highest ground level to the top of the wall or fence post.

Step Three

Measure the length of the boundary

Each existing boundary of different height will need measuring in length. For example, if your fence is a straight run but drops from 1.8m to 1.6m mid-way, please measure both lengths separately. Where there is existing standard fencing, you can usually work out the length of the boundary by counting the number of fence panels and multiplying it by the standard width of fence panels, which is 2 meters.

Step Four

Send your measurements to ProtectaPet

Once you have measured your garden and recorded the measurements, please send us your plan, along with photographs of your garden. Along with your full address, we can verify the garden measurements on Google Earth and advise you what you will need to secure your garden.

Unfortunately, our Cat Balcony Enclosure is not suitable for balconies without a ceiling or with a greater floor to ceiling height than 2.7m.

The Cat Balcony Enclosure is a tension fit so the adjustable feet can be loosened and the enclosure can be relocated. The Cat Balcony Enclosure is only suitable for balconies with a maximum floor to ceiling height of 2.7m.

The panels are 2.4m wide each and they can be connected together inline or at 90° angles so that you can create a screen across any width of balcony.

We do not offer an installation service on Cat Balconies.

If you are looking for professional installation, you will need to ensure the Contractors have the relevant working at height qualifications and public liability insurance. We understand that Integrum Pest Control offer installation of our Cat Balcony Kits, with prices starting at around £500.

If your balcony id two or three sided and the corners are not exactly 90° then you will need to order the one panel balcony kit in multiples.
